Tottenham are still in talks with AC Milan over the sale of Serge Aurier but the Italians have also enquired about Norwich City right-back Max Aarons, according to the Daily Mail.

Aurier has lost his spot in the team to summer signing Matt Doherty and may have to settle for only playing in the Europa League if he stays put beyond next week’s transfer deadline.

The Guardian, among other outlets, claims Spurs are currently chasing Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar, but the London Evening Standard suggests funds must be raised by player sales before big money is spent on a new centre-back.

Selling Aurier would help Tottenham’s pursuit of Skriniar, but the sale could be scuppered by AC Milan’s interest in Aarons – the Mail says the Serie A giants have enquired about the 20-year-old.

If the Serie A giants switch right-back targets, Spurs could be stuck with Aurier and unable to raise the necessary funds for Skriniar.

With that in mind, many Tottenham fans will be hoping a deal with AC Milan for Aurier can be struck as soon as possible.

  1. So Jose Mourinho just insults Tottenhams history to distract from the fact the squad ENIC and him are going on a downhill slalom. Oi Jose? That trophy history you speak of?…We used to win stuff, before Levy and Lewis turned up so shut your cake hole. VAR got you into Europe last year you plum. That team should av been 10th at best and Sheff Utd should be in the CL. They’ve got a case maybe. What has become of THFC? Get all these reptiles out of N17.
