Less than 48 hours after Tottenham beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, Jose Mourinho’s men will be in action once more on Thursday evening as they look go reach the group stages of the Europa League.
Spurs host Maccabi Haifa of Israel, although they’ll be without attacking duo Heung Min Son (hamstring) and Gareth Bale (knee), who both remain out injured.
Mourinho is expected to make wholesale changes and will hand a competitive home debut to Joe Hart, whilst Matt Doherty, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies should all return to the starting line-up.
Meanwhile, Harry Winks, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane should all be recalled – meaning Toby Alderweireld will be the only survivor from Tuesday’s penalty shoot-out victory.
We think that Dele Alli will be handed another rare start, but Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier have both started the previous two games and will therefore be rested.
Starting XI: Hart, Doherty, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Lucas, Alli, Kane.
