According to various reports, Tottenham are still interested in signing Swansea City defender Joe Rodon before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Premier League clubs can still do business with EFL clubs until the 16th, meaning Spurs have until the end of the working week to seal a deal for Rodon.

And the Telegraph is reporting that a move for the centre-back might go right down to the wire, meaning Tottenham fans could face a nervous wait on Friday to see if a deal gets over the line.

Meanwhile, Football London’s Alasdair Gold recently gave an update on Rodon in a Q&A. He said that Spurs won’t pay over the odds for the 22-year-old amid the possibility of his price being driven up by rumoured interest from elsewhere.

That interest, according to the Daily Star, is from Manchester United and West Ham United, who could also apparently swoop for Rodon this week.

The Swansea ace has featured twice for Wales during the current international break. He was part of a back four that shipped three goals against England but helped to keep a clean sheet against the Republic of Ireland.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham make an official bid in the next couple days or wait until closer to the deadline.
