It’s been exactly a decade since Gareth Bale announced himself to the footballing world by scoring a sensational hat-trick against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Harry Redknapp’s 10-man Tottenham were trailing the Serie A giants 4-0 at half-time at the San Siro, but the flying Welshman took matters into his own hands by producing three almost identical finishes to add at least some respectability to the scoreline.
Bale re-joined on a season-long loan from Real Madrid last month and made his debut against West Ham on Saturday, but will have to go some way to top that moment.
