Tottenham ground out out a narrow victory over Burnley on Monday night thanks to Son Heung-min’s winner.
The South Korean was assisted by Harry Kane once again as the Londoners moved up to fifth in the table.
Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the night.
Hugo Lloris, 6 – No difficult saves to make but came for two late corners and claimed them with confidence.
Matt Doherty, 4 – Failed to influence things going forward and looked shaky defensively – still finding his feet at the club.
Toby Alderweireld, 5 – Looked a little slow and clumsy after an early knock to the head.
Eric Dier, 5 – Won some of his battles with the Burley strikers but a couple of mistakes could have gifted the hosts a goal.
Ben Davies, 3 – Got into good positions only to waste it every single time with a woeful final ball.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, 6 – A couple of sloppy moments but generally strong in front of the back four.
Moussa Sissoko, 5 – A scrappy performance from the quietest player on the pitch.
Tanguy Ndombele, 7 – The only player who looked like bursting past his man and playing an incisive pass.
Lucas Moura, 4 – Did very little and was eventually replaced by Erik Lamela.
Harry Kane, 7 – Was marked out of the game until his excellent headed assist – an extra point for a crucial goal-line clearance.
Son Heung-min, 7 – Like with Kane, Burnley had his number until the goal which he took brilliantly.
Substitutes
Erik Lamela, 6 – Added a bit of urgency but sometimes held onto the ball for too long.
Giovani Lo Celso, N/A – Helped Spurs hold onto the ball after the goal.
Joe Rodon, N/A – Made his debut as a stoppage time arrival.
Who rated this. Anybody would have thought we’d lost by five
Bit harsh on the centre backs. Alderweireld in particular was superb I thought.
I dont recall ben Davies making one forward pass the whole game . He is the most negative player we have
