Tanguy Ndombele has described his first season at Tottenham as “difficult” – but admitted that he’s feeling more settled in England.

The 23-year-old Frenchman arrived from Lyon for a record-fee last summer, but struggled to nail down a regular place in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI, which wasn’t helped by a number of injuries and fitness problems.

However, Ndombele is faring much better this time around, starting four of Spurs previous five Premier League matches.

In an interview which Tottenham posted on Twitter, Ndombele revealed all about his current form and admitted that he feels at home in north London – partly thanks to help from his international colleague Moussa Sissoko.

  1. Still looks overweight and sluggish. Only seems to excerpt himself if he has to. To get the ideal pivot with LoCelso he will have to up his fitness/stamina by 50%.only slightly better than Dele but unable to play 90 minutes twice in one week whereas Alli would have no problem if he just overcomes his mind block at present

    • You think he playing out the position at the number 10 spot. He is a holding mid being ask to be the creative mid cause we dont have either a 10 or a creative mid. He will be fine. 90 minutes is less important to 75 minutes of quality. When Gio gets up to speed Tanguy will slot in next to Pierrie where he belongs as Gio will be ahead of him.
