Jose Mourinho has revealed that he expects Harry Kane to be fit for Sundays north London derby.

Kane missed tonight’s Europa League game against LASK through injury, and when speaking to the press ahead of the trip to Austria, admitted the striker had a “good chance” of playing against Mikel Arteta’s side.

Spurs struggled without the England captain, although Mourinho’s side reached the last 32 of the competition following a 3-3 draw earlier on Thursday thanks to goals from Gareth Bale, Heung Min Son and Dele Alli.

Mourinho was once again asked about Kane’s chances of playing against Arsenal after the game, and sounded confident.

“I believe he is going to be fit,” he said. “He’s having treatment but I could be doing some bluff and pretend he’s in trouble, but he’s not and I think he’ll play,” (Football.London).

I’m not sure anyone thought Kane wouldn’t play, but it’s nice to get that reassurance – especially in his current form. Hopefully Toby Alderweireld, Sergio Regulion and Carlos Vinicius have also managed to shake off their respective injuries and Mourinho has a fully fit squad.
