Tottenham’s festive period begins on Sunday with a trip to Wolves, and Jose Mourinho has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

Hugo Lloris, who celebrated his birthday on Boxing day, will start between the sticks, protected by a now-familiar centre-back pairing of Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld.

Sergio Reguilon should start on the left despite Ben Davies’ excellent goal against Stoke City, but Matt Doherty may keep his place at right-back if Mourinho remains concerned about Serge Aurier’s defensive mistakes.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko will likely sit in front of the back four, with Tanguy Ndombele returning in the more advanced midfield role – Giovani Lo Celso has been ruled out with an injury.

Erik Lamela impressed from the bench at Stoke and could be rewarded with a start, providing support for Son Heung-min and Harry Kane up front.

Gareth Bale picked up a knock at Stoke, but he could be used from the bench if deemed fit enough to be in the squad.

  1. It is time for Dele and Aurier to go
So Jose should get new midfielder in place of Dele and new fullback in place of Aurier
Aurier isn’t safe defender because he is well known as give away and too many mistakes
Spurs still needs new central defender der be cause Sanchez is unreliable defender

  2. Woooah?! They reeeeally don’t want Saints stealing the advantage of 3 points and leap frogging Jose do they? VAR penalty ruled out and 2 goals!? Keeping the competition in check. Unreal.
