Christian Eriksen’s agent is keen for the Inter Milan outcast to return to Tottenham, according to reports in Italy.

Last week we relayed word from Fabrizio Romano suggesting that Jose Mourinho is eager to re-sign Eriksen on loan until the end of the season. The Dane left Spurs a year ago but already looks set to depart Inter after struggling to settle in Italy.

And now we are seeing more stories about a possible move back to north London.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato makes very similar claims to Romano: Eriksen could re-join Tottenham but his salary is a roadblock all parties must get around before a deal can be done.

The report adds that Eriksen’s agent ‘would like to take him back to where he did so well’, which is good news for Spurs in that it means he may be willing to work hard to strike a deal with Inter.

Eriksen would be a useful option for Tottenham, particularly in games against opponents that sit deep. We think the Londoners should be pulling out all the stops to make it happen. Do you agree? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. Eriksen is a shade of what he was when he first came to Spurs and I cannot see him getting back to that form.
He now says he wants to come back but why was he so keen to leave in the first place? We do not want him back we have better players here than Eriksen.

  2. Not the 1st time I am writing in on Eriksen.
Couldn’t wait to leave, even didn’t want to listen to “I will offer you as much as any other club” offer from Levy.
Was looking for a “better” club; well let him stay at Inter; he made his bed, he can lie in it.
If Eriksen is devoid of any pride by even thinking of coming back, let’s hope we have enough to not even think of him returning.
These are my thoughts for a player even if he were on top of his game, let alone one whose form has fallen off a cliff.
