Tottenham will be hoping to return to winning ways when they host London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League on Thursday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s men have suffered damaging defeats to both Liverpool and Brighton in recent days and have only tasted victory twice in their previous nine league matches.

And the Spurs boss has a number of absentees for the clash against his former side – with Sergio Regulion, Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all still unavailable.

We think that after missing out completely at Brighton on Sunday, Serge Aurier will be recalled, joining Toby Alderweireld and then either Joe Rodon or Eric Dier and Ben Davies in a back-four.

Moussa Sissoko should return to the midfield after his stint at right wing-back on the South Coast, whilst Carlos Vinicius might finally be handed his full Premier League debut following a positive appearance off the bench against the Seagulls, joining Steven Bergwijn and Heung Min Son in attack.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Chelsea – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

Starting XI: Lloris, Aurier, Alderweireld, Rodon, Davies, Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Son, Vinicius.

  1. I think we should play 4-5-1 George you right we need to give Bale more game time. His good playing both wings and he can score

  2. I personally don’t think it makes much difference what system formation or starting X1 Mourinho picks…let’s be honest guys 75% of the squad isn’t good enough with 4 or 5 of them in my top 10 worse players ever to wear the shirt…I’ve been a supporter for over 60yrs and Mourinho just doesn’t fit the Spurs family way of playing footy.
