Gareth Bale wants Jose Mourinho to give him a run of games so that he can prove his worth to Tottenham, according to the Times.
The Welshman has endured a disappointing return to Spurs since sealing a loan move from Real Madrid last term, barely featuring – especially in the Premier League – and struggling to get fully match fit.
There have been doubts over his willingness to play a bigger role for the team, while Mourinho has been accused of underusing the 31-year-old, who has shown only glimpses of his true quality this season.
But the Times claims Bale is ready to feature more – more than that, he wants a regular place in the team to prove himself.
Right now, it seems unlikely that Bale will start many games between now and the end of the campaign. He simply hasn’t done enough when given the chance, although that obviously could be down to low confidence because he isn’t playing.
Playing more often would build both his confidence and match fitness, but it would also increase his chances of getting one more big contract somewhere when he’s ready to make his next move.
One of the top paid footballers in the world and has won so many things. Sort yourself out bale so disappointed you came back you have been rubbish in most games you played in.
