Harry Winks wants to leave Tottenham for a top La Liga club this summer, according to reports in Spain.
The midfielder has rarely featured in the Spurs starting line-up in Premier League games this season, having to settle for the majority of his minutes in the Europa League.
Spanish outlet Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) claims Winks was close to moving to La Liga in January but a deal failed to materialise.
And they are reporting that the 25-year-old will now push for a move to a Spain this summer – in fact, they say Winks ‘will insist’ on leaving Tottenham for a top Spanish club.
It will be interesting to see if any of Spain’s best teams will move for Winks in the summer given that he has hardly set the world alight for Spurs of late.
Indeed, there is no chance Barcelona or Real Madrid will be interested in him – he is perhaps more likely to attract admiring glances from the likes of Sevilla and Valencia, or other clubs of that level.
