Oliver Skipp will be part of Tottenham’s first-team squad next season despite interest from Norwich City and other clubs, according to Football Insider.

The midfielder is currently enjoying a stellar loan spell with Norwich, who are apparently keen to sign him permanently this summer.

Football Insider claims Canaries boss Daniel Farke wants Skipp to return to Carrow Road next season, when Norwich will probably be a Premier League club again.

But the report goes on to say Spurs have a plan for Skipp, and that plan involves the 20-year-old being a part of the first-team picture next term.

All of which makes sense. Jose Mourinho – ‘a big admirer’ of Skipp, per the story – needs another deep-lying midfielder to provide competition and cover for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

And Skipp’s presence means there is no need for Tottenham to enter the transfer market for a new recruit.

Spurs will be also be hoping to keep hold of another academy product, Harry Kane, a target for Manchester United – says the Mirror.

If the Londoners can keep their stars and promising youngsters while also adding quality to the squad, surely the only way is up.

  1. Honestly Skipp is a good future player for Spurs
At first Hojbjerb was good but now am not sure about Hojbjerb because 1 he always give away on foul 2 he always pass the ball to Defenders too much and rare give ball to forward compare with other defence midfielder 3 too much mistakes
Please look at his playing tomorrow

  2. Skip must definitely be a starter next season, sell Winks if possible and also promote some of our youth team, imo they are tops COYS

  3. I would rather Skipp stays another season with Norwich in the Premier league. He would get more games. He may become a bit part player or even bench warmer at Spurs.
A full season in the premier league at Norwich would do him a world of good.
