Sergio Aguero would be open to joining Tottenham this summer, regardless of whether they’re in the Champions League next season, according to the Telegraph.
The Argentine striker recently announced that he’ll be leaving Manchester City at the end of the campaign following 10 years of service at the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham currently have both Harry Kane and Carlos Vinicius in their ranks, although the latter’s loan deal from Benfica runs out this summer, meaning Spurs are going to need another striker in their ranks next season.
The report believes that Chelsea are also interested – with Aguero, whose scored just one Premier League goal this season, considering an offer to play for Jose Mourinho, although the 32-year-old is only be keen on joining a club where he’s a guaranteed starter, meaning a move to north London could depend on whether Kane remains at Tottenham this summer.
With Aguero’s City contract expiring in June, he’ll be available on a free transfer once the season finishes, so it’s worth seeing how this one pans out.
