Tottenham left Goodison Park with a point on Friday night, but it was a night of more negatives than positives.

Harry Kane’s opener was cancelled out by a Gyfi Sigurdsson brace as Everton turned things around.

Kane was eventually on hand to make it 2-2 but left the pitch injured in the closing stages – just over a week before the League Cup final.

Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the night.

Hugo Lloris, 7 – Made some good stops and could do little about the goals.

Toby Alderweireld, 6 – Didn’t do much wrong on his return to the team.

Joe Rodon, 6 – Got his head on most things despite being given a tough time late on.

Eric Dier, 6 – A couple of loose passes but brought the ball out quite well.

Serge Aurier, 5 – Everton got in down his side a bit too often.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, 4 – Continued to look knackered and was really sloppy in possession.

Moussa Sissoko, 5 – A couple of promising bursts forward but didn’t do enough.

Sergio Reguilon, 4 – Gave away the penalty on a difficult evening on the left flank.

Tanguy Ndombele, 4 – Provided the cross for the opener but was too loose and clumsy throughout.

Son Heung-min, 4 – Started well before tailing off and having a quiet night.

Harry Kane, 8 – The source of everything good for Spurs with his two well-taken goals.

Substitutes

Erik Lamela, 5 – Got on the ball plenty but his final ball was wayward.

Lucas Moura, 5 – Gave Spurs some energy but little else.

Dele Alli, N/A – Replaced the injured Kane in stoppage time.
