Jose Mourinho is not expected to be Tottenham manager at the start of next season, according to Football London.

Spurs look set to miss out on Champions League football after dropping yet more points in the Premier League against Everton on Friday night.

Mourinho could bring the club silverware for the first time in 13 years if the Londoners beat Manchester City in next week’s League Cup final.

But it seems even a trophy will not be able to mask the former Manchester United and Chelsea manager’s failings in north London.

Football London’s Alasdair Gold claims Mourinho is expected to leave Spurs ‘before next season begins’, suggesting there is a growing feeling at the club that there will be a change in the dugout this summer.

The report says it is unclear who his replacement will be, but RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann is name-checked as a possibility – although he is apparently a target for Bayern Munich.

In any case, it looks like Daniel Levy is set to swing his axe in the coming weeks, a decision that looks more and more sensible as the games go by.

  1. Let’s hope for once that this is correct reporting, not made up and that this “lamentable so called coach” ( I am being polite and refraining from using certain words), will never be seen again.
Granted that the players must take some responsibility for form and recent results, but Mourinho’s complete incompetence, stubborn attitude, treatment of players and loss of the dressing room have contributed to the destruction of the team and club and will take years to recover from.Congratulations to our brilliant Chariman on his appointment in the first place.
I for one will be dancing for joy when he leaves for good.

  2. Pull the trigger, don’t pull the trigger, nothing will change, it doesn’t matter who’s the manager, while Levy, Lewis and ENIC are in control we will win nothing. The quality and level of investment hasn’t and won’t be enough to change anything. The only way things will change is if we get rid of the 3 above. 20 years of their control is all you need to know, say no more. Levy, Lewis and ENIC OUT !!!
