Harry Kane has been named as the Premier League Player of the Year at the 2021 London Football Awards.

Despite Tottenham’s struggles in the league, Kane is enjoying a terrific campaign having scored 19 goals in the Premier League and added 13 assists – leaving him on course to win the Golden Boot for the first time in four seasons and top the assist charts for the first time.

Kane beat off competition from teammate Heung Min Son, Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice and Mason Mount to win the award.

Meanwhile, Erik Lamela’s rabona against Arsenal was voted as goal of the season, meaning the award stays with Tottenham following Son’s memorable solo effort against Burnley last term which saw him claim the honour.

The Argentinian beat international colleague Manuel Lanzini, Eberechi Eze, Olivier Giroud and Sebastien Haller.

David Moyes won manager of the year, whilst West Ham’s Lukas Fabianski won the best goalkeeper accolade.
