Tottenham comfortably beat Wolves on Sunday to move into sixth-place and keep alive their hopes of playing European football next season.
Harry Kane’s 31st goal in all competitions, and his first under Ryan Mason, set Spurs on their way to a third straight home victory before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg sealed the three points which saw Mason’s men climb above West Ham and into a Europa League place.
It could, and perhaps should have been more for Tottenham, who struck the post on three occasions, with both Kane and Sergio Regulion both coming close.
Dele Alli was one of those to be denied by the woodwork, and is still searching for his first Premier League goal of the campaign, but it was an impressive performance from the 25-year-old, who was picked out for specific praise by a delighted Mason.
He told Football.London: “Dele was excellent. I don’t really like singling out players but it’s hard not to because I’m sure everyone felt it.
“He ran, he competed, he pressed, he created opportunities. I’m sure he’s disappointed not to get a goal himself. It was an excellent number 10 performance, I’m really, really pleased.”

I would say lucas Moura is better than Dele
Dele is running very slow and not really attack
It’s all getting very matey. What has gone on with Roden dropping down the pecking order without playing and also Moura who had been one of our best players in the last month including the final & suddenly can’t get on the pitch. Who’s actually picking the teams?
Dele was poor he takes 3 touches to completely control the ball reason he loses it so much to many fancy flicks he has no clue what he’s doing lazy lazy player like everyone else plays for him mason I like him
But he needs to grow a pair n tell levy to shut up n let him pick the team if wovles played like they did 10 mins of second half full game they would of beat us dele winks deir were shocking can’t mind winks doing anything when he came on I hope these players r only playing so teams can have a look but I doubt it n Mason is playing who tickles him bum hole best in showers
