Tottenham are interested in signing Norwich City star Emiliano Buendia, according to Sky Sports.
Buendia has arguably been the Championship’s standout player this season, helping Norwich to seal a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
The 24-year-old Argentine impressed in the Premier League impressed last term but his form could not keep the Canaries in the top-flight.
However, it looks like he will definitely be a Premier League player again next season – either with Norwich or one of his suitors.
Sky Sports claims Spurs are one of three clubs keen on Buendia. The others are Arsenal and Aston Villa.
Norwich apparently value the playmaker at around £35-40 million, so Tottenham would have to part with significant funds to sign him.
In the end, a move for Buendia may depend on how desperate Spurs are for creativity this summer. That need may increase if Harry Kane departs.
Even if Tottenham are interested, Arsenal may be more appealing to Buendia if the Gunners leapfrog Spurs into a European spot on Sunday.
Super player that has impressed.Don’t believe he is stupid enough to even think of joining a sinking ship where he would be transformed into a Hackney Marshes player like Reguilon has been.Make me swallow my words Tottenham and go and get a result at Leicester tomorrow:won’t hold my breath as believe they are incapable of doing so(if Mason starts with Dier and Winks tomorrow, will think it is all part of a plan to hand the game to Leicester).
