Tottenham will attempt to sign Leonardo Bonucci and Dejan Kulusevski this summer, according to reports in Italy.

According to multiple outlets, including the Guardian, Spurs are close to appointing former Juventus director football Fabio Paratici in a similar role.

And it seems Paratici is keen to make a raid on his former club for two regular starters.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims Paratici wants to sign centre-back Bonucci – however, the report makes a bit of an error.

The story says Spurs ‘have always played with a three-man defence’, which would suit Bonucci – but that simply isn’t true.

There was a period when Mauricio Pochettino would play Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen in a back three.

But Tottenham haven’t employed the tactic regularly for some time – Jose Mourinho only tried it on a couple of occasions.

Still, that doesn’t mean Spurs aren’t interested in Bonucci, who would slot into a back four with ease.

Meanwhile, Calcio Mercato says Paratici also wants to sign Kulusevski, the 21-year-old Swedish winger who he took to Juventus from Atalanta just last year.

The fact he has only been at Juventus for a short time means it could be difficult to lure him to Spurs, but Paratici will apparently try.

It could all just be speculation but Bonucci and Kulusevski would certainly be exciting signings.

  1. I can’t for the life of me understand these people who constantly jump the gun.Paratici is not a done deal-I am not saying it won’t conclude; but Levy has plenty of time to torpedo the deal as he so often does in true Levy style.

  2. Tottenham need to replace almost the entire team.Recruitment has been dreadful over the past few seasons.
Ndombele is not a box to box midfielder and whilst produces occasional flashes of brilliant trickery does not last 90 minutes and seems incapable of controlling midfield.Whoevee recruited him and for the price paid did not do their due diligence.
Los Celso does not seem to be able to string accurate passes together in mid field and like Ndombele has rarely imposed himself.
I do not know why Bergwyn was signed. He offers virtually nothing and is pretty ineffective.
Cant even remember the name of the young player signed for the future from Leeds last summer.Another player for the future.
Matt Doherty has not fitted in and looks one paced and lost.
Aurier is a player looking to give away penalties and dangerous free kicks almost every game.
    Reguilon cannot defend .
Dier is not a top class centre half.He is far too slow.
    Sanchez another regular disaster.
Toby is class but now past his best and again playing with the aforementioned only looks worse.
Ali…was potentially very good 3-4 years ago but lost his way and nowhere near good enough for England.Again why did we not clinch Grealish 2 years ago.
Refusing to pay that bit extra and buying mediocre players is foolhardy.
The current owners bought the club for £22million and this was no doubt through bank finance as indeed was the development of the ground and training facilities.
Its about time that Joe Lewis an elderly man now actually injected funds for purchase of 3-4 top players instead of current mediocrity.
No wonder Kane wants to leave in this situation.
If the new director of football and manager(should have been Conte who no doubt saw through the hollow structure) is given proper financial backing and support NOW Spurs could yet do well next season.
But judging on the recent past I have my serious doubts.
IF true supporter since the late 1950’s
