Mauricio Pochettino could yet make a sensational return to Tottenham this summer, according to the Sun.

The Argentine was linked with a move back to north London from Paris-Saint Germain last month, with The Athletic claiming talks were held between Spurs and Pochettino.

PSG eventually triggered a one-year extension to Pochettino’s contract, all but ending the chance of him leaving the French capital this summer.

However, it appears Tottenham still have a chance of getting their man – if reports are to be believed.

The Sun suggests Pochettino could leave PSG for Spurs this summer if the Ligue 1 giants are able to lure either former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane or current France boss Didier Deschamps.

They won’t know if that’s possible until after the Euros, or at least until France are knocked out of the competition.

That might explain why Tottenham are seemingly stalling on their latest rumoured target, Nuno Espirito Santo, who chairman Daniel Levy is said to be ‘undecided’ on (via Football London).

We’re unlikely to know whether Levy still has genuine hopes of re-appointing Pochettino until we receive updates on Nuno – let’s wait and see.

  2. Why he won nothing the first time around and all he did was make levy and the board look good. If he has any sense he will stay as far away as possible.

  7. Please God not Redknapp. If we can’t get Poch (personally would have gone for Scott Parker at the outset), then Ryan Mason to nurture some of the genuinely talented young player players we have coming through.

    • So many levy comments on here. Levy and Lewis are both billionaires. They could sort this problem in a microsecond but that would require them to spend their money. Suck it up stop complaining about managers, ticket prices, no poch no cl, crap football because this is the way its going to be under enic from now on. Crap tight owners who only care about profits and getting muppets to make them look good. Run the club right you could be a big club like Leicester. Run it wrong the only trophies you will ever have is a double the price stadium and training facilities.

    Deschamps will not be leaving the French National team whatever the outcome of Euro 2020.If PSG wanted Zidane they would no doubt already have made their move.
    Pocc returning to Tottenham is about as likely as Covid has of disappearing overnight.

  9. Lewis is a billionaire but levy isn’t his got plenty of money but no where near being a billionaire. Levy makes out his a big spurs fan but all he thinks about is dosh. All Spurs fans have to be realistic and stop dreaming. As long as these two weasels are in charge as they have been for twenty years s as re gone it will remain the same.

  11. Levy à Spurs fan?You must be having a laugh.If I was Spurs Chairman and wealthy,I can assure you, I would plough a very decent % of my wealth into the club- like Abramovitch at Cheatski, and not take it out like him.
    The guy is a fake and the more I think of it, made a good doubles act with the thieving conman of Mourinho.
