Daniel Levy could completely refuse to sell Harry Kane this summer, no matter what Manchester City offer, according to The Athletic.

The report claims City are willing to spend big to land both Kane and his England teammate Jack Grealish in the coming weeks, even if it costs a combined total of up to £215 million.

However, it is believed the Premier League champions will have a hard time convincing Spurs to sell, with Levy more determined than ever to keep hold of Kane.

The Athletic says the Tottenham chairman could simply ‘refuse all offers’ for Kane, who has three years remaining on his current contract.

City apparently have a list of alternative strikers, which suggests they are not 100 per cent confident of getting a deal over the line.

They are said to be more confident about Grealish’s arrival as there could be a release clause in the Villa captain’s contract.

From a Tottenham fan’s point of view, let’s hope that release clause is huge so that City can only afford Grealish and Kane stays put for one more year at least.
