Tottenham continue their preparations for the new season with their second pre-season friendly at League Two Colchester United tonight.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s first game as Spurs boss was a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient on Saturday, although he only had a handful of first-team players available for selection.
However, the Portuguese has been able to name a stronger side for the game here, with Oliver Skipp and Heung Min Son both returning, whilst Japhet Tanganga is on the bench.
Alfie Whiteman replaces Joe Hart in goal, whilst Tobi Omole joins Eric Dier, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Maksim Paskotski in defence, with Skipp making his first Spurs appearance since returning from his loan spell at Norwich City to partner Harry Winks in midfield.
Santo has been able to select an exciting front-four as Son is supported in attack by Dele Alli, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura, who all keep their places from Orient, meaning Dane Scarlett is on the bench, with either Son or Lucas leading the line.
