The usual suspects have been amongst the goals for Tottenham in pre-season, but boyhood fan Alfie Whiteman has been one of the surprise packages for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
No one has featured more than the 22-year-old, who’s completed 90 minutes against both Colchester United and MK Dons to go with his second-half run out against Leyton Orient.
And the young goalkeeper has made some outstanding stops across the three matches, including a penalty save against the Dons.
With Joe Hart expected to depart following the arrival of Pierluigi Gollini, Whiteman should keep his place as third-choice for the new season, and if his fine form continues, he might even get some first-team minutes.
