Tottenham’s starting line-up for today’s Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace has been confirmed.
The headline news regards Emerson Royal, who makes his debut after joining on deadline day. His inclusion sees Japhet Tanganga shift to centre-back to partner Eric Dier.

Harry Winks is a surprise starter in midfield. Oliver Skipp had been a doubt, so it had been suggested that Winks would come in for Skipp – but both players are actually in the team.
That’s because it appears Dele Alli has been pushed up into the front three with Lucas Moura and Harry Kane. Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn are both absent from the squad.
Hugo Lloris, Sergio Reguilon and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are also in the XI, while Joe Rodon and Tanguy Ndombele could make their first appearances of the season from the bench.
There is also a place among the substitutes for young defender Tobi Omole. Spurs are obviously short at centre-back, with Davinson Sanchez and Cristian Romero currently training in Croatia with Giovani Lo Celso.

Absolutely no point playing long balls when Emerson is refusing to leave the ground and challenge for headers.
