Tottenham’s 100% start to the Premier League season came to a screeching halt in Saturday’s woeful 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.
Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the day.
Hugo Lloris, 4 – His poor early roll-out to Eric Dier was a sign of things to come for the team.
Emerson Royal, 4 – Stopped Wilfried Zaha a couple of times one-on-one but most of Palace’s threat came down his side.
Japhet Tanganga, 3 – Was doing fine until his two stupid yellow cards gave Palace the impetus.
Eric Dier, N/A – Had no time to impress after suffering a pretty serious-looking injury in the opening stages.
Sergio Reguilon, 4 – His defensive positioning was all over the place and all of his crosses were blocked.
Oliver Skipp, 4 – Not adventurous enough on the ball and a bit sloppy throughout.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, 2 – Constantly put his teammates under pressure with poor passes and was wasteful on the break.
Harry Winks, 2 – Again showed he just can’t do it at this level any longer.
Dele Alli, 4 – A bystander for the most part. Produced one excellent goal-saving block.
Lucas Moura, 3 – Made a bright start until he started constantly losing the ball.
Harry Kane, 3 – Barely involved in the final third and couldn’t make anything happen in deeper areas.
Substitutes
Joe Rodon, 4 – Replaced Dier. Did OK but fell apart late on with the rest of the team.
Ben Davies, 2 – Came on after the red card. Gave away the penalty and was all over the place defensively.
Spurs played very terrible it prove that Spurs really need a striker to partner Kane
Spurs midfielders very poor
Ben Davies very poor game that’s old story
It is evident that Spurs badly needs central Defender but problem is Levy won’t buy new striker and central defender
Ha ha this was coming. Spurs were lucky Palace only scored 3. The new guy looks worse than aurier omg. Alli offered nothing and other than the block he might as well not of played. Kane looks uninterested and I don’t blame him. Levy pulled a blinder keeping two players who don’t want to be there. Spurs will be lucky to finish top 12 this year they are getting worse and the owner and the chairman are laughing at the fans.
Cheers Gooner
