Harry Kane will be offered a new contract and a pay rise by Tottenham despite his poor form, according to The Telegraph.

The striker was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer but ended his attempts to leave Spurs when it became clear the club would not sell.

Since then he has struggled to rediscover his goalscoring touch, failing to find the net in the Premier League and playing poorly after reclaiming his place in the team.

But despite his difficulties, Kane is reportedly set to see his salary increase.

The Telegraph claims Tottenham will give the England captain a pay rise as part of his new deal, though there is no clear indication as to whether he will definitely sign another contract.

The fact that he committed to a six-year deal in 2018 contributed to his failed bid to leave in the summer, so he will surely be having doubts about making the same mistake again.

That said, if Kane’s form doesn’t improve then there is a chance his suitors will still be unwilling to meet Spurs’ valuation next summer.

In that scenario, Kane might want to ensure he remains a massive earner for the next few years at Tottenham by signing a new contract – time will tell.
