Tottenham welcome Aston Villa to N17 on Sunday with the possibility of a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat staring them in the face.

With that in mind, Nuno Espirito Santo has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

Captain Hugo Lloris will come back in between the sticks, but who will the centre-backs be? We think Eric Dier will be partnered by Cristian Romero in the heart of defence.

Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon should also start, even though the latter played 80 minutes on Thursday night – Ben Davies wasn’t in the squad and so is likely injured.

In central midfield, Tanguy Ndombele may have to settle for a place on the bench if Nuno wants more solidity, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg coming in to partner Oliver Skipp.

That midfield base will give the front four that finished the game on Thursday – Giovani Lo Celso, Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane – the chance to keep up their momentum.

Dele Alli will also be among the substitutes despite his goal from the penalty spot against NS Mura.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Villa – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. I have said many times since last year that Dele Alli should be sold last transfer because he has not played well for 18 matches so far.SELL HIM IN JAN 2022 is the best way so that Spurs can buy new create midfielder

  2. We need to have a team that play together and work for one another covering when someone goes on an overlap it hitting a great pass and stand to admire it but go an support so there are options
There needs for talking to command where people are and don’t turn when the ball is kicked at you if you meet it square on there will not be any deflections goal bound

  3. Why is Spurs is not giving the young stars a chance in the first team
    We have so much talent
Look at Man United , Arsenal and even Liverpool. They are promoting the young stars in the senior team
Spurs are always loan their young players
The coach and his staff must catch a wake up. Even Mourino never encouraged the stars in senior team

  4. You can only integrate the very skilful young guns into a solid, United, stable first team. At the moment we haven’t got that. If we out the youngsters in and we suffer some large defeats that could put them back quite a way. They are talented, but we b be a bit more oatient. We also need to get rid of some of the so called big names who are also big earners like Deli, Winks, Dier, etc.,
