Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is a January target for Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
Ndombele was linked with an exit in the summer but ended up staying put and has now fought his way into Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting line-up.
His performances have been mixed, however, and Spurs’ resolve may be tested in the coming winter transfer window.
Spanish outlet Sport claims Ndombele is among four midfielders Barcelona are looking at ahead of January.
The report says Tottenham offered Ndombele to Barcelona in the summer but the La Liga giants could not afford him amid their financial difficulties.
It is believed the Frenchman could still prove too expensive in January, so Barcelona have other targets to ponder.
Unless Spurs have a replacement in mind, that could be good news for the Londoners.
At times, Ndombele looks like the only midfielder capable of unlocking the opposition defence and creating chances.
As such, Tottenham shouldn’t think about letting him go midway through the season unless they have a more creative replacement in mind.
If we bought Emerson from them because they needed money, how can they afford NDOMBELE? Word is we are offering him to them because we want to get rid! Let’s hope they bite.
