Many of Tottenham’s younger players were involved with the U23s on Tuesday night as they were beaten by League One outfit Oxford United.

Dane Scarlett was a surprise inclusion in the starting XI, playing 90 minutes just five days after starting the Europe Conference League loss against Vitesse, whilst Dilan Markanday, Jack Clarke and Harvey White all featured.

Scarlett scored from the penalty spot to briefly restore parity for Spurs, who despite a valiant effort, were beaten 3-2, with Clarke scoring late on for his first goal of the season.
