The Antonio Conte era gets underway on Thursday evening when Tottenham continue their Conference League campaign against Vitesse.

The Italian boss has no fresh injury worries ahead of the game, but we think that Conte will go against Nuno Espirito Santo’s recent strategy in this competition and pick his best team.

Tottenham are looking for a confidence-boosting victory after three defeats in their last four games in all competitions, and whilst we don’t yet know whether the new Spurs manager will start with a back three, it’s likely to be a strong XI.

If Conte does go with a back three, Davinson Sanchez could return and partner Eric Dier and Cristian Romero, with Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon likely to be the full-backs.

Moving forward, Tanguy Ndombele should return and partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in a midfield three, supporting Heung Min Son and Harry Kane up front, which means Oliver Skipp will drop out.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Vitesse – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

XI: Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Romero, Royal, Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Reguilon, Son, Kane.

    • LC isn’t a good player, he’s not even good enough for the Premier league. He’s been at Spurs a few seasons now, scores no goals and less assists. Totally overrated.

  1. I agree with the line up, get the job done in the first 60 mins then make some subs ready for the weekend, I can’t understand why you change the whole 11 players for a game, I thought football was all about consistency getting a rhythm within the team.
Was at the stadium on Friday for a tour OMG what a buzz, let’s hope Conte can get the boys going again COYS.

  2. The side you have named is the current Premier first 11 !!!
I understand he wants to start with a positive, but we need to be blooding some back up for those players.
Why not hive Holberjg a rest and use LoCelso. Give old man Dier a rest and use Rodon. Give Royal a rest and use Tanganga.
Still a strong side but looking to the future of the squad when fatigue/ injuries come calling.
