Antonio Conte is planning on making a move to sign Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to the Telegraph.
Hugo Lloris is in his tenth season in north London and remains Tottenham’s first-choice, but the 34-year-old is out of contract next summer and is yet to commit his future to Spurs.
Conte also has Pierluigi Gollini at his disposal, although the Italian, who’s not yet feature in the Premier League this season, is only on a season-long loan from Atalanta.
And the Telegraph believe that the Tottenham boss is looking at British goalkeepers as a long-term replacement for Lloris, even though the Frenchman could still on past this season.
Pickford has been Everton’s and England’s number one goalkeeper over the previous few years and played a huge part in the Three Lions’ run to the European Championships semi-final, keeping clean sheets in the opening five games and conceded twice all tournament.
The report are also suggesting that the Toffees would be looking to sell the 27-year-old for more than the £27m they signed him for from Sunderland in 2017.
