Tottenham face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Boxing Day and Antonio Conte has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

After sticking with a consistent line-up in his first few games, Conte has changed things up of late due to the Covid-19 crisis and fixture congestion.

We saw a new look midfield against Liverpool, with Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks handed rare starts, while Son Heung-min was rested in League Cup victory over West Ham United.

However, that midfield trio and the man who took advantage of Son’s absence, Steven Bergwijn, could return to the bench for the Palace game as Conte reverts to something more familiar.

We think Conte will go with a 3-4-3 formation and there will be two changes from the side that beat West Ham – Son will come in for Bergwijn, and Emerson Royal will replace Matt Doherty.

That means we are more likely to see rotation in upcoming fixtures against Southampton and Watford.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Palace – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. And that is the way it should be. If you are not in the first 11 then when you get the chance you should what you got. A good and balanced squad is not suppose to be change 6 and 7 players to be competitive. The key is substitutions during EPL games so when those guys start they know the system.

  2. Please get rid of Sanchez. He’s poor positionally, running about like a headless chicken, & is so nervous when he has the ball. He rarely passes forwards but favours square to Dier or Skipp, or backwards to Lloris. Negatives FAR out way positives. Roden must be absolute crap to not get a chance although he looks very decent in internationals v top players.

  3. We desperately need a left footed centre back and if we could be greedy for Christmas I’d sign another to go with Romero, Personally I’d love to see Romero, De Ligt and Kounde as our back three, that would be formidable. Signing Vlahovic up front and Kessie in midfield would top off my Christmas. Oh yeah and a new right back as a new years present. Aarons or Lamptey would do.
