Manchester City remain interested in signing Harry Kane, according to Eurosport.

Kane was strongly linked with a move to the Etihad last summer but ended up staying at Tottenham, despite returning back to the club late after the post-season break.

The striker has struggled for Premier League goals this season but has netted two in his last three outings and has generally improved since Antonio Conte’s appointment.

However, it seems the champions could test Spurs’ resolve once again next summer.

Eurosport claim City will not move for a new striker in the January transfer window but could go for Kane when they eventually decide to buy a centre forward.

That will probably be at the end of the season, but fortunately for Tottenham there may be other targets on City’s list, helping the Londoners to keep their talisman.

Pep Guardiola is also said to be keen on Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, whose age and profile are perhaps a better fit for City.

In any case, it’s just good to see Kane playing somewhere close to his best again – let’s hope he can keep improving and scoring over the coming months.
