Tottenham are yet to decide whether to give Bryan Gil the green light to join Valencia on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Gil joined Spurs from Sevilla in the summer, with Erik Lamela moving in the other direction as part of the deal, but the winger has rarely started matches since arriving in England.

And now it seems the Londoners are keen for Gil to return to Spain in order to get more playing experience.

Romano, who is always reliable when it comes to transfers, claims talks are continuing between Tottenham and Valencia over a ‘straight loan’, which presumably means there will be no option to make the deal permanent.

Spurs are apparently set to make a final call on the loan in the ‘coming hours’, so we could even get confirmation of the deal by the end of play on Saturday.

The link makes sense given that Tottenham are apparently trying to sign Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski on loan with an option to buy (via The Athletic).

Gil’s game time will be reduced further if Spurs bring in Kulusevski, so a loan for the Spaniard is a logical move for all parties.
