Tottenham travel to Manchester City on Saturday aiming to avoid a fourth straight Premier League defeat, and Antonio Conte has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

In his press conference on Friday, Conte revealed Eric Dier is back and in contention to play at the Etihad, but Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga are not quite ready to return. An unnamed player will also miss this weekend’s game after testing positive for Covid.

Despite changing the team’s shape during the first half of the defeat to Wolves last time out, we think Conte will stick with a back three at City, albeit with a couple of personnel changes.

Dier will start after Davinson Sanchez’s poor display last time out. He will join Ben Davies and Christian Romero at centre-back, with Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon returning on the flanks.

In midfield, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg should come in for Harry Winks, who also struggled against Wolves. The attacking trio is likely to be Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Man City – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

    • Yeah let’s play a guy on the right that has no right foot r u thick Emerson is our best rwb we have a club right now stick to lying on ur back

  1. Expect us to play 3-5-2 as we did against Liverpool.
Thus Winks plays at the expense of Lucas
Also it’s a toss of the coin between our two worse players Doherty or Royal.

  2. The 3 at the front doesn’t work for us. When we played a heavy midfield we dominated Leicester.
I still don’t get why he prefers Davies over Rodon especially after how many mistakes Davies makes. Rwb I would put bergiwin or moura over Emerson. Rather than having one or the other on have both running down the flanks. Much more effective than Emerson who can’t dribble forward or cross

  3. Play a 352. Flapper in goal, Ball watcher Romero, Deadly Dier, Roden. Midfield – worst Brazilian wing back, Bentancur, Winks, rocket Reguilón with Lucas as a 10. Kane and Son up top always. Sanchez is bloody awful & has been since I first set eyes on him at Wembley. Quick & likes physical battles but awful ball watcher, headless chicken approach to defending & poohs himself when on the ball, passing square to his central defence buddy or back to flapper. Hojberg vastly overrated. At best a mid table player – oh wait a minute, perhaps we are. Very square on when receiving the ball. Attitude very good though which probably is why he’s picked.

  4. I feel for Conte when selecting a side, I’d be tempted to dip into the under 11s team. Sanchez shouldn’t be near a football, playing a wing backs system with players that couldn’t fulfill that role if they tried, Winks and Davies are horseshit, hopefully Reguillon is fit. I’m afraid it might be an embarrassing game…
