Plenty of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to rave over the display of Harry Kane in their victory over Manchester City on Saturday night.
According to WhoScored, the Tottenham striker produced his best performance of the season, with his 8.68 rating comfortably the best on the evening.
Kane got the ball rolling early on when his fine pass set Heung Min Son away and allowed Dejan Kulusevski to stroke home his first goal in English football.
He then put Spurs 2-1 ahead with an excellent finish high into the net and was celebrating 14 minutes later when he fired low into the bottom corner. VAR ruled that effort out and while that came after Kane had already missed a golden opportunity to extend Tottenham’s lead, he wouldn’t be denied, climbing above Kyle Walker to head home deep into added-time.
One supporter described Kane’s performance as a “masterclass” while another said it was his best ever in a Tottenham shirt.
Check out some of the best responses to Kane’s showing against City:
Without a doubt my favourite Spurs player ever.. And I don’t think that will ever change ?

Can’t get over that Harry Kane performance. His best in a Spurs shirt. One of the best individual Spurs performances I’ve seen in recent memory. Up there along with Vertonghen vs Dortmund, Bale vs Inter, Dembele vs Juventus, Defoe vs Wigan, Kane vs Liverpool & Dele vs Real Madrid

For me it is bittersweet. I don’t think there is any way Man City wont come in for Kane in the summer because of that performance.
Will they offer £160 Million? Yep of course they will, and you know what? Levy et al wont be able to refuse!
How about you worry about the next game. Some text to ensure we do not forget Levy if even for one glorious day. Celebrate the win and let the summer fall werevit may. May we will get the 4 players we need positions wise to fix the club without Kane leaving. Ever think about that. It dies not mean splashing the cash. Buying with purpose.
