Ultimately it was a disappointing night for Tottenham’s Under-23s on Friday evening.
They lost 2-1 to Arsenal away from home, but there was one moment of note that all Spurs fans will be delighted to see.
At 2-0 down, Tottenham pulled one back through the extremely promising 17-year-old Alfie Devine.
The winger picked up the ball in his own half, dribbled past opponents with ease and finished brilliantly to Spurs back in with a chance.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be as Arsenal held on, but once again Devine showed he has the potential to be a first-team player in the future.
Spurs U23s lost 2-1 to Arsenal last night but, at 2-0, Devine took matters into his own hands & scored this. You can watch the match back on Arsenal’s Twitch. I’ve watched most of the first half – very even but we made two mistakes leading to two goals. pic.twitter.com/sXRYko9O4L
