Today In Spurs History: 13th May

1967 – Spurs beat Sheffield United 2-0 at home, thanks to goals from Jimmy Greaves and Frank Saul.

1986 – On this day in 1986 Tottenham sacked Peter Shreeves. In his first season in charge of the club he guided us to third, but back in those days that wasn’t celebrated with an open top bus tour as it is now and after a disappointing second season, Shreeves was on his way, as David Pleat was brought in.
