On This Day In Spurs History: 19th May

1957 – On this day in 1957, Tottenham played Celtic in an end of season tour game in New York. Celtic went 2-0 up, before Bobby Smith pulled one back. Celtic then went 3-1 up, only for Smith to score again, to make it 3-2 to Celtic at half-time.

Smith completed his hat-trick in the second half to level the scores, before Micky Dulin netted the winning goal to make it 4-3 to Spurs.
