Harry Redknapp was full of praise for Niko Kranjcar’s attitude after the Croat came off the bench to fire in the injury time winner on Saturday.
Despite the fact that Bolton feel they should have got something from the game, the winner was probably deserved, especially as the game should have been wrapped up before half time. The fact that it wasn’t was in no small part down to Mark Clattenburg.
Not content with robbing Pedro Mendes, when the whole of the keeper wasn’t over the line, his pedantic (at best) attitude to the second penalty meant that we were biting our nails until Niko’s great strike.
“Niko can do things like that, he’s a matchwinner,” said Harry, “What Niko has done is continue to work hard, continue to show the right attitude, continue to do extra after training, his sprints, his running and he spends time shooting every day. He shows a great attitude and deserves all the credit in the world.”
The win keeps Spurs in fifth but with Chelsea losing at home on Sunday, we are now level on points, with only goal difference separating the team.
