Luka delighted to be back

Luka Modric has spoken of his delight at being back in the side for Tuesday’s win over AC Milan. Luka has been in top form this season, before a bout of appendicitis saw him out of the team for a couple of weeks.

“I feel much better”, Luka said on the club website, “I know I didn’t play for two weeks or have normal training, which was hard, but now I feel good.”

Modric came on for Rafael van der Vaart in the second half and was thrilled with the result: “It was unbelievable. We scored the goal and we showed we’re a great team, even if we’re missing a couple of important players.

“We showed we could cope with big teams and that we can perform well and beat them away from home, which is a massive achievement for us.”

Luka’s return is a timely one for Spurs. He’s been in great form and is a fans’ favourite and we hope he stays fit and continues his fine form throughout our crucial run in.
