Transfer deadline day has finally arrived and once again it seems that Spurs will be frantically trying to tie up deals for a number of players in a number of positions.

All the usual suspects seem to be involved – Gary Cahill, Scott Parker, Chris Samba and Leandro Damiao but there is a new name emerging and an interesting one at that.

Danilo Pereira is a 19 year old, Portugese born midfielder who currently plays for Serie A side Roma. Although he has yet to make his debut for the Italian team, he was loaned out to Aris Salonika last season where he impressed during his stay.

Pereira looks to be a talented prospect but having already signed Yago Falque, who looks a similar player, this could however be another non-starter.

As far as missed targets are concerned, Joe Cole is reportedly on the verge of signing Lille to a collective sigh of relief from Spurs supporters. However, FC Twente striker Bryan Ruiz looks set to join Fulham for somewhere in the region of £10m and if we look back at this transfer window to find ‘one that got away’, it could be this talented Costa Rican.

  1. without being disrespectful to Fulham, if he succeeds there we could prob snap him up for about 15m in a year. re the youngsters Falque apparently is injury prone and unproven so am glad its just a loan deal. The other lad is highly rated, all round midfielder so hopefully that means we can get rid of jenas LOL.
fingers crossed on Crouch leaving! please Harry stop saying what a great player he is as my head is hurting from smashing it against the wall

  2. If we sign nobody and just get rid of Jenas and Crouch I would be so happy not having to see this pair ever again in the Spurs strip or even on the TV
