Our team to face PAOK – What’s yours?

by Matthew Harris on September 15, 2011

This is probably the hardest team to predict so far this season as we have been promised as many as ten changes for tonight’s match against PAOK.

“We’ve got a lot of senior players injured,” said Harry Redknapp. “William Gallas, Michael Dawson, Danny Rose, Steven Pienaar, Tom Huddlestone, Sandro, Aaron Lennon, Rafa van der Vaart, all not fit.

“It’s a big squad, a good group of players. I could have rotated the squad and still have a very strong team.

“A couple of the younger lads played in the second leg against Hearts and did very well, this is an opportunity for them to play again.”

So we can expect the likes of Ryan Fredericks, Tom Carroll and Harry Kane to appear again tonight.

In goal, it’s a straight choice between Cudicini and Gomes while the centre back pairing could be Corluka and Bassong, with the latter taking the armband.

Up front, Kane and Pavlyuchenko started against Hearts and should play again. That leaves the likes of Carroll, Dos Santos and Townsend battling it out for a midfield berth along with Yago Falque who has impressed since arriving at the Lane.

Here is our team to face PAOK, what’s yours?

I d be happy with that side, dont think the other promising younsters such as Caballos, Coullabaly (Spellings?) are registered.
Carrol seems very young, and under developed imo so would rather see Parrett or Bostock in CM to partner Livermore.

Def wanna see Kane again, needs game time to develop.

After seeing Kane play against Hearts I’d say him and Pav are not the best pairing as they both lack pace. I’d like to see Pav and Gio up front. Altough I dont rate Pav, he is still got to be trusted more than a 17 year old who would probably go missing tonight (yes, more than pav does). I pairing of Pav and Couliby would have been better imo.

I don´t know why Button is not playing or Ranieri.
Gomes
K.Walker-Corluka-Bassong-Townsend
Gio-Parrett-Bostock-Ceballos
H.Kane-Pavly
Second half:
Coulibaly for Pav

i would be in tears of sorrow if it was that pairing up front. neither compliment each other and would rather see pav and gio or kane and gio.
apperently townsend didnt have his passport yesterday so he may/may not be there

I would love to see this lineup with Kane as a second half sub for Pav.

List A (eg Ruiz for Fulham) is limited to 25 players and no requirement for any time to have played for the club – Spurs did not nominate Souleymane in List A. List B (under 21′s only) requires that the players need to have registered/played for the club for 2 years so the likes of Souleymane Coulybaly and Cristian Cellabos cannot be included. So who knows.. lol

Isn’t Falque a left-sided wing?
