Spurs to poach a Salomon?

by Matthew Harris on October 27, 2011

One of the more interesting names to emerge from the transfer columns over the last few days is that of Polish midfielder Bartosz Salamon. Currently at Serie B side Brescia, Salomon is just 20, yet his performances this season have alerted a number of Europe’s top clubs.

A tall, (6 foot 4) defensive midfielder, Salamon has played in Italy for the whole of his professional career to date and after joining Brescia in 2007, he made his real breakthrough while on loan to Foggia last season.

Perhaps his location is something to do with the fact that he has only made one appearance for his country at under-21 level, but the stories have also suggested that Barcelona are also interested so there must be more to this youngster than the facts alone suggest.

It’s thought that Salamon could be available for just £3.5m in January and at that price, it may well be worth one of Harry’s ‘punts’ to see if the player has what it takes to make a mark in the Premiership.

We’ve got Hudd, Sandro, Livermore and Parker for that role.

You lot are kidding right?! Samba better than Cahill????? No technique and turns like bamby on ice. CVahill is a proper centre half with the ability to play football… Bloody hell, Samba get’s thrown up front and win’s a couple of headers now he’s the best centre back out there! Cahill is class… Samba is just big!

Exactly Dan. Just because Samba is a big lad (ooo er… etc) doesn’t mean he’s good enough. Whatever happened to that nice lad Callum Davenport?

A defensive midfielder where we have Parker, Sandro and Huddlestone and Livermore, which one are you suggesting we sell to make way for him?

Hudd and Livermore are not good enough!!! Parker, Sandro, Mods and ONE MORE quality centre mid is needed.

As for Cahill…. Absolute CRAP!!!!! If he wasn’t English you would never here his name mentioned. No different to Dawson! Both USELESS!!!! SAMBA any day!!!!

Couple of things by Rossi now Villareal will sell him as he is injured will be back playing in April worth the gamble only 24 best years to come. Marin for me as Lennon not doing it any more would like to see us put Sandro there at home……
