If you believe certain parts of the press this week, Malaga are the club with money to burn and they are set to approach Spurs in January with two very different £20m offers.

The first, and marginally more likely is an offer for Aaron Lennon, who has made an impressive return to the Spurs first team with a goal and three assists in his last two games.

The other tests the realms of plausibility a bit more however and suggests that the Spanish club are preparing a joint £20m bid for Giovani Dos Santos with Sebastien Bassong thrown in.

The two separate rumours both seem to have originated from the same website and appear to be isolated stories.

You can draw your own conclusions from that but if Malaga did approach Spurs with either of these offers, would the answer be ‘Yes, Please’?

  1. If its tru we should sell gio to them and let bassong to QPR. I don’t think we need to sell lennon just buy hoilet to wake him up a bit.

  2. Sell Gio and Bassong. Bring in the Belgium Ajax captain and (unfortunately) sell Pavlyuchenko. Please sign Edison Cavani or Leandro Damiao… Now is the time for Spurs to sign two or 3 players for £60million. It will make a firm statement of intent to our best players (Modric and Bale) to stay at Spurs forever. We can finish 3rd this season. COYS

    • Yes your not coming in the champions league we are one of the clubs who need too be prudent with only having a36 thousands stadium. We need to upgrade our Youngsters Just look at Newcastle riding high with players costing peanuts with a stadium holding 60,ooo our futures bright dont dim it.

  3. I actually think we can end up 2nd this year.Man City are gonna win it.Utd are going to struggle to keep up their standards.Chelsea will crash and burn at some stage,as for arse, well

  4. Sell Gio and Bassong (hope I never see him play again for Spurs. Don’t wanna die of heart attack..)
Bring in another striker and defender.
I have a feeling the budget is not overwhelming due to the stadium plans…

  5. Cahil and Hoilet would be great additions, young and better than squad options we have at present. They are worth a lot to their clubs until the end of the season tho and so will not be sold for less than 7-10m a piece. Cavani, Hazard (not Micky 🙂 ) and Damiao will prob all be too expensive. cant see Levy backing HR with 20m plus deals with uncertainty over the managers future

  6. Levy will only spend money on the players HE wants in January, not who Harry wants.

I’d happily sell Pav and put Kane in the squad, we play one up top so we don’t need 3 world class strikers. One top class, one decent and one youngster is good enough.
Sell Defoe (he can’t play lone striker) and bring in some old geezer such as Amauri, Del Piero, Kanoute etc.

I’d happily let GDS and Bassong go this January, especially for 20 million! With no GDS the likes of Townsend, Rose, Fredericks etc get more of a chance in Europe/FA Cup.
With Bassong gone, it’s 1000’s of heart attacks saved!

Lennon for 20 million? Tough one, a lot of money for a player that has been injured a lot (he has weak a abductor muscle) and not on form. If we can get Hoilett, I’d be fine with Lennon leaving for that price, especially abroad where he can’t hurt us.
