OK so it’s not the major striker or defender signing that some have been looking for but the club announced its first deal of the year with the news that Yago Falque has signed on a permanent deal from Juventus.

The 21 year old Spaniard has been with the club since the start of the campaign with the intention of completing a season long loan. Spurs have obviously seen something in the winger’s six appearances to date as they have moved quickly to make the deal a permanent one.

Falque has in turn gone on loan to Southampton where he will spend the rest of the campaign helping the South Coast’s biggest club get back into the Premiership. He will undoubtedly benefit from first team football at St Mary’s as we hope that our club has secured a future talent at White Hart Lane.

  1. I have not seen too much of him, but I think that he is held in quite high regard by the staff at Tottenham.

Southampton is a good club for him to go and play some football.

He may not be a world beater, but he has enough talent in him to attract the attention of Barca, Juve, and now us, so I wish him all the best for his loan.

  2. I watched him at a couple of spurs xi games and he’s really impressed me! Scored 2 when he played against kettering, also got him to autograph my shirt after the game, hopefully be worth something in a season or two as he looks like a really good prospect!
