The Loic Remy rumours are gathering momentum and while other players such as Olivier Giroud are also being connected with Spurs, it seems that the Marseille centre forward is the focus of media attention for now at least.
Some reports are also suggesting that Tottenham could be in for a double swoop with Remy’s team mate Stephane MBia arriving as part of the deal. Mbia is a 25 year old Cameroon international who has previously been on the radar of other clubs but hasn’t been mentioned much, if at all, as far as Spurs are concerned.
His prime role is as a defensive midfielder and there should be enough of those at White Hart Lane already. However, reports suggest that MBia is equally at home in the centre of defence and this is an area where Spurs are short of reinforcements.
Looking at the rumours, the Remy deal is the one that most fans would welcome but MBia would be more than a useful makeweight if he comes along too!
