Defensive injury crisis deepens

by Matthew Harris on April 26, 2012

I’ve quoted Harry’s post-QPR comments about our centre half issues twice already so I won’t repeat them yet again. However, it has emerged today that things are going from bad to worse on the injury front with reports that both Younes Kaboul and Benoit Assou-Ekotto could miss the rest of the season.

Younes has been out since Easter Monday with a knee problem while BAE picked up a shoulder injury in the defeat to QPR.

“We’ve lost some key players at the wrong time, Kaboul, Dawson and now Assou-Ekotto,” Redknapp said.

“Three defenders look like they’re out for the rest of the season so it’s been difficult.”

Harry however was still defiant about the club’s chances of finishing in the top four.

“No excuses. We’ve got four games to go. We can still do it. We’ve got to win four games. We’ve got to go on a good run now,” he added.

Spurs will have to do it with the bare bones of a defence however and you can only hope that there are no further injuries in this already depleted squad.

Don’t worry just park your Wembley bus in front of goal it’s not seen daylight since the last century but clear the mouldy spuds off it first hahaLOL FORTUNES ALWAYS HIDING COYI!

No problem, just play Bale in goal (while occasionally being allowed to roam around the field like CR7), Ade LB, Defoe CB, Modric CB, Saha RB, King LM, Gomes DM, Gallas AM, Nelsen RM, Friedel and Cudicini as strikers. With 3 (4) goalkeepers it wouldn’t “leave us to open”. I dare you Harry.

Chim Chim Cher Woo that Spammer might like to ask about parking the bus before their coming visit to Wembley. Oh wait-they still have to have two legged playoff to qualify for a visit to Wembley. FA Cupo final? Oh no it’s the playoffbetwen the teams that don’t manage the runners up spot in the CHAMPIONSHIP. Fortune’s always hiding? must be in Chims brain. Great choice Chim(p?)

Is there any reason why we can’t recall corluka and bassong?
I know we would have to pay compensation, but it would be worth it to have more options, wouldn’t it.

i didn’t go to school like HR (lol) so i’m not good at maths
but i’m sure £25m + for the CL is worth more than £5m-10m
comp to HR, Mr Levy
if we can see what the problem is so why can’t u. sack him now
look at Chelsea, they got the problem out AVB and now there in the finals of 2 cup, 1 of which they beat us for it

Apparently (hum), lots of us would like to get rid of Harry, time to let him know in the stadium next Sunday?
