Reports are emerging today that suggest Spurs will not be retaining the services of Louis Saha after his six month contract at White Hart Lane expires. There has been some controversy over the player after his pro-Chelsea Champions League comments but perhaps the club would be inclined to disregard that and make a decision purely on footballing reasons.

Louis arrived on the last day of the January window and made a great impression in his first game against Newcastle with two goals and a productive initial understanding with Emmanuel Adebayor. He scored again in the next league match at Arsenal but in the latter stages of the season, he was restricted to starting on the bench as Harry reverted to the traditional formation of VDV just behind Ade.

The report suggests that West Ham could be a likely destination for the striker but whatever the reasons may be, it looks like his spell at the Lane will be predictably brief.

  1. What a desperate waste of time in the first place..Does Mr Redknapp not realise we have an abundance of young talent that would have grabbed that opportunity with pride and done ten times better. K B
